In this day and age people are becoming more and more fashion conscious and, this season, there’s a lot to get excited about. Despite the winter season coming around bold colours are still in fashion.
Blocking your colours is big this season, and if you do it too then you will be the in thing. Colour blocking looks great and makes a statement. Many people think that it’s all about wearing matching patterns and colours that blend together well, but this isn’t always the case. If you want to use colour blocking simply wear a black dress with bright red tights, or something similar.
Another thing which is bang on trend this season is prints. Whether it is Aztec prints, animal prints or simply a repeated pattern, they’re in all of the shops right now. Prints can really jazz up the most boring of outfits and can help you to make a statement.
Tutus are making a comeback this year as well, with the first one being worn at the Emmis last week by non-other than Angelina Jolie. She rocked up to the awards ceremony in a tutu that matched with a tiger print boob tube and didn’t she look brilliant? Her husband, on the other hand, was wearing the hottest trend for men this season and that is a skirt – yes, men can wear skirts and they are doing it with attitude.
Ladies, if you don’t want to be daring and wear a tutu then you can try the more chilled out trend this autumn-winter season – a balaclava. They used to be only acceptable in the deepest, darkest winter months and used to be related to burglary, but they are the hottest knitted trend on the catwalk this season with stars such as Lily Cole wearing them. We aren’t talking about simple black ones though, oh no! We are talking prints, multi colours and diamantes. Fendi have the most expensive balaclava ever made to date with it rocking up to the grand total of half a million, however it is worth it as every inch of it is covered in diamonds.
